Houston County Habitat for Humanity
Billy was selected as our 2024 Veteran Build homeowner. Billy is an Army Reservist Officer, a Warner Robins native, a full time employee, Fort Valley State alumni, a motivational speaker, a counselor to the incarcerated, AND a dad. Billy has 3 kids and 1 on the way! Billy was selected in part for being a veteran but also beacause he and his children are living with family members. This Veteran Build personifies the mission of Habitat. We are fortunate to help this hard working patriotic young man enter into a new and better chapter of his life. He will soon realize the dream of homeownership. Billy has helped other Habitat homeowners build their homes every Saturday. In just a few weeks, he will help build his very own home alongside our volunteer construction crew. As always, we offer a "hand up", not a "hand out" He will pay a very affordable 0% loan back to Habitat to help "pay it forward" for the next family.
